Flowya is built with privacy in mind. We believe your task list is your business, not ours. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: very little) and how we handle it.
Your tasks, spaces, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. Flowya does not require an account to use, and your data stays on your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
If you enable iCloud sync, your task data is synced through Apple's iCloud infrastructure. We do not have access to this data — it's encrypted and managed entirely by Apple according to their privacy policies.
Our website (flowya.io) uses Amplitude to understand how visitors use the site. This includes:
The Flowya app itself does not include any analytics or tracking.
To be crystal clear, we never collect:
If you use iCloud sync, your data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple encrypts your iCloud data and we cannot access it.
Flowya is distributed through GitHub Releases. When you download the app, GitHub may collect standard server logs. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Your local data is protected by macOS's built-in security features, including FileVault encryption if enabled on your Mac. We recommend keeping your macOS updated for the latest security patches.
Since your data is stored locally, you have complete control over it. Delete the app and its data is gone. We don't maintain any copies of your tasks on our servers — because we don't have servers storing your data.
Flowya does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
Because your data is stored locally on your device:
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, if the changes are substantial, we'll notify users through the app or website.

Your tasks stay on your Mac. If you use iCloud, Apple handles the sync (not us). We don't track anything in the app. Our website has basic analytics. That's it.
